Finance Committee/Building & Grounds Committee
The Finance Committee is a group of dedicated parishioners who meet monthly. Together with the pastor, they oversee the financial aspects of the parish, i.e. the formulation of the annual budget and approval of parish fundraising projects. The Finance Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall.
The Building and Grounds Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the parish grounds and buildings. One of their major projects is a periodic clean-up/fix-up session to maintain and improve the parish grounds. Volunteers are always appreciated for these work sessions. Watch the weekly bulletin for the announcements regarding scheduled work sessions. If you are mechanically inclined and wish to volunteer, please contact Rosemary Ritchie.
The Stewardship Committee helps parishioners focus on time, talent and treasure and keeping the idea of stewardship before us throughout the year. This committee meets on an as-needed basis.
The purpose of the Communication Committee is to keep the parish informed of happenings within the parish and within the archdiocese. It is a communication link between the parish and its members. This committee is responsible for the quarterly newsletter and the welcome packet for new parishioners. The Communication Committee meets on an “as needed” basis in the parish hall.
This is the committee responsible for overseeing our annual summer parish festival and ever-popular Monte Carlo Night, which are big fundraisers for our parish. They arrange for the food vendors, setup and recruitment of volunteers from the parish and local community to staff all the booths. The festival is held each year on the first Saturday of August and the Monte Carlo is held the evening before. It is an event that is enjoyed by the parish and community as a whole.

Some of these activities include: funeral meals, new mothers meals, Prayer Chain and Confirmation brunch. Fund-raising activities vary each year and run the gamut from Lenten Dinners to scrap booking work days. Funds raised are used to purchase items for the parish not included in the general budget and to make donations to charitable organization. Women’s Club meetings are the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall.
Adult & Children’s Choir
Over the years, St. Thomas has assembled an adult choir to enhance the Sunday liturgies, seasonal holidays and special services through music. There is also a children’s choir that leads music once a month at the 8:00 a.m. Mass.
Weekly rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the church, unless otherwise noted. The adult choir meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday, and the children’s choir meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday.
